Manatee Information, Events and Places of Interest

Manatee county is located on the northern border with Sarasota. It is home to several cities within its boundaries. It has the city of Bradenton, Anna Maria, Bradenton Beach, Parrish, Palmetto, Ellenton, Longboat Key and Myakka City. It also has several areas that are very well known: Holmes Beach, Terra Ceia, Cortez and Lakewood Ranch.

Manatee county has about 323,000 people living there and covers about 741 square miles of land. Like Sarasota, it also is a wonderful place to live. Because of its proximity to Sarasota, we consider Sarasota & Manatee county like the same area, almost like sister cities. It has great beaches nearby, many attractions and venues to visit and it’s easy to get around. Most residents will agree that they have a great quality of life here. Since it is larger than Sarasota county, much of that extra land is located east of town in a rural area known for large parcels of land. Many farms and ranches are located here. They also attract families, retiree’s and many well to do folks because of the beautiful weather and our other amenities. Many people buy 2nd homes or vacation homes here, especially in the waterfront area.

Welcome to Manatee.
